NEW YEAR=NEW YOU

With the New Year starting, many people have made lots of different resolutions. Most commonly people are making some about their health.
It’s interesting to me that when I pulled up to the gym Monday after New Years how packed it was, it has been that way every year. Then a month to 6 weeks goes by and the number of people at the gym goes back to normal. It’s so unfortunate to know that many people wait for that turn of the year to make a commitment to get healthier and lose sight of it so fast. Take for example someone quitting smoking, they may set a quit date or just 3 more packs and all that really says that they are not ready to quit. Throw the cigarettes away and take charge now, not tomorrow.
Don’t postpone your health to a more convenient time, take charge now. Realize that being healthy is a lifelong journey that is not easy. Matter of fact you have to get away from the typical American way of life to get there. Most of what’s out there is for convenience and not for the betterment of you. Sure, I see that places are making some changes but ultimately it’s you and only you that can make the changes necessary.
Join in and let’s get healthier this month, this year, this decade and more importantly…..this lifetime!
Yours in Health,
Dr. Brett
