Why Chiropractic Should Be a First Choice in Health Care

Chiropractors should be among the first healthcare professionals consulted when dealing with most health issues. Why? Because we work with the body—more specifically, with the nervous system, which controls and coordinates every function in the body.
In contrast, conventional medicine often works against the body. Many medications are designed to suppress or deactivate a natural function in order to reduce symptoms. While this may bring temporary relief, it often does not address the root cause of the problem. In fact, it can mask symptoms, allowing the underlying issue to worsen without the person realizing it.
The body is a remarkable, intelligently designed system. Sometimes, the most effective approach is to take a step back and simply ask why:
Why do you have a fever?A fever is your body’s natural response to infection—raising its temperature to create an environment in which harmful organisms can’t survive. Lowering the fever with medication can actually interfere with this protective process.
Why do you have pain?Pain is the body’s way of signaling that something is wrong and needs attention. It's no different than the pain you feel when your hand touches a hot stove or when you step on a nail—it's there to prompt you to act.Similarly, pressure on a nerve causes pain because the body recognizes that something is interfering with its ability to function. In these cases, a chiropractic adjustment can remove that interference and restore proper function.
As a licensed chiropractor, I’m specially trained to work in harmony with the body’s innate intelligence—its natural ability to heal and regulate itself. Unfortunately, many modern healthcare approaches override or ignore this intelligence, which is one major reason why the overall health of our population continues to decline.
I encourage you to become an ambassador for chiropractic care. Share what you’ve learned with others. The more people understand and embrace natural, supportive approaches to health, the more empowered we become as a society to take charge of our well-being.
